Adolescence can be a wonderful time of discovery and learning. However, it can also be a time of disorientation when difficult issues or tough choices on schooling and socially are presented. Too often, a lack of resilience leads to high levels of stress and anxiety. This disables Teen connection with others and their ability to pursue their goals to the best of their ability.
Our Resilience program for Teens does not only help benefit their wellbeing, but can also have significant impact on their studies. VCE students gain tremendously from using a Resilience Coach.
As a parent, you want to see your Teen with high levels of energy, feeling happy and motivated, managing their workload and balancing their social life and device time to ensure they’re demonstrating and achieving their best.
On Saturday February 25th at 10am, our Life Coach for Teens, Mary Mangano, will run a free, brief presentation outlining some modalities she uses in her sessions that can help students, and in particular VCE students, optimise their outcome for success.
The Resilience Building for VCE presentation welcomes both Students and Parents.
Mary Mangano is a Melbourne based coach and educator working as a well-being consultant.
She works with adolescents and adults on cognitive behavioural therapy focusing predominantly on stress, anxiety and self-esteem.
A mother of two adult children and with 20 years teaching experience, she has a special interest in developing resilience in students that will not only assist with the challenges of VCE studies, but also into their adult life.
In an age of heightened expectations, the benefits of self-awareness optimise confidence, energy, happiness and positivity which help to enable the ability for greater productivity and focus.
Life balance is paramount during the VCE and the resilience coaching strategies will enhance the well-being of the individual beyond their studies.
