Your authentic nature

Your authentic nature – your soul awakens to its authentic expression of your truest self

Take a deep breath . . . relax and feel your heart open to Nature’s embrace. The wisdom and beauty of infinite love and gratitude is all around you, but even more within the essence of your soul’s longing to experience life. Now is the time to shine and awaken Nature’s sacred space of pure potential for growth and change.

Anne Frank wrote in her famous diaries,

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.”

Peace on earth is more than a vision or a mission . . . it’s a natural process that we’re privileged and blessed to witness each and every day. In any given moment, Mother Earth provides endless opportunities to observe the miracle of life through a ripple in the ocean, a blossoming flower, a spider spinning a web, birds taking flight, or a butterfly emerging. Magic and miracles are all around, everywhere in Nature’s mysterious rhythmic flow from season to season.

Often, the hustle and bustle of life and our busy ‘to do’ list cause us to feel distracted, disconnected, or even neglect our connection to life’s wonder. A single moment of observation, contemplation, or reflection holds the power to transform a mundane experience into one of deep meaning and purpose.

Knowingly or unknowingly we choose our reality. Who you are, what you experience, and where you find yourself is either a conscious choice or a moment of reaction. A wallaby, a waddling duck, one single blade of grass, a graceful gull, a solitary rose, and all other unique expressions of the natural world are the culmination of a driving force that ultimately reveals its truest colors, sounds, and behaviours in an ever-changing and evolving way.

Who are you? What are you experiencing? Are you where you’d choose to be? Or do you sense a deeper calling coming from deep within? When you begin to observe yourself in the environment of your life circumstances, you’ll soon recognise that there’s something pulling, guiding, harnessing, incubating, and being forged from the very essence of your core. It’s your soul awakening to its authentic expression of your truest self.

You can walk the same path again and again, thinking that the environment around you is trivial . . . the ‘same old same old’. However, if you’d just stop and be still something extraordinary would occur. You’d discover that there are portals to other dimensions right in front of you, and that Nature is the quickest and most efficient way to activate these doorways. You’d recognise spiralling shapes, scintillating colours, deep aromas, and sounds that stimulate a primal part of you that flows and transforms with grace and ease. This is what the ancient sage Lao Tzu described in the Tao Te Ching when he said,

“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realise there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.”

Nature has a way of speaking the unspoken word – and as a natural consequence of connecting to Nature you’ll spontaneously begin to shift, like a seed being planted deep within the womb of Mother Earth. You’ll begin to take root and grow. Just like the seed, you’ll grow the only way you know how . . . through the perceived darkness towards the light.

What’s more, you have the conscious ability to not only access Nature’s thriving power, but to harness it and influence the health of your body and relationships simply by intentionally ‘plugging in’. Science has revealed that our brains and bodies don’t know the difference between imagination and reality. As a result, the simple thought of water will immediately impact the way you think and feel. Viewing a picture of a running stream will activate your thoughts and feelings in a flowing and transformative way.

The ‘reconnect, balance and thrive’ process will guide you on an inspiring journey to awaken yourself to the power of infinite love and gratitude. With this simple three-step approach, you’ll soon find that within you exists the ability to convert pain into power, fear into courage, and stress into wisdom that you never would have discovered otherwise.

The reconnect, balance and thrive process

1. Reconnect to the present moment. To help you access present time consciousness (PTC), simply observe your breath, rather than forcing it in any way. Hold your hand in the American sign language mode for ‘I love you’ as you begin to fill your heart with infinite love and gratitude (see below).

It’s in a single moment of PTC that anything and everything is possible. You’ll begin to feel a strong shift within . . . this will be the sign for you to move into creating balance. The reconnection occurs instantly for some people, while for others it can take more time as you become more comfortable in your body. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you enjoy the process.

2. Balance is a natural state of life. Even if you’re unable to recognise a point of equilibrium, it exists somewhere, in some way, in each and every instant. The late Dr. Victor Frank, developer of Total Body Modification, stated, “Before you get to where you’re going, you need to be okay with where you’re at.”

The process of creating balance begins with cultivating awareness. Quantum physics now teaches us that we’re unable to be in a state of observation without influencing the outcome of what’s being observed. In fact, the simple act of noticing what we notice causes us to become a participant in a dynamic process of transformation.

Start by bringing your awareness to something or someone in your life that’s causing you to feel stressed, anxious, or upset. Ask yourself, ‘Would I ever choose to live my life feeling this way?’

The answer will always be: ‘Never!’ Acknowledging that you’d never choose to have these feelings helps you appreciate the reactive quality of your body and life. Because Nature is also reactive, it’s these parts of you that will enable you to create a link to its energetic wisdom.

To transform a perceived negative experience into one that’s positive, you’ll now need to set an intention. Doing so helps you create harmony between the reactive nature of your body and life and that of Mother Earth. The way to influence your reactive mind is simply through the power of your imagination. Remember, you know what you wouldn’t choose; now ask yourself what you would. To create a full transformation, set your intention as if you’re already where you desire to be. If you were there right now, you’d be able to state:

‘I am _______.’

Set your intention in a powerful, courageous, and confident way. Even if you don’t believe what you’re saying, use your creative mind to bypass any limited perceptions of stress or pain that you’re currently experiencing. Remember that everything is possible in an infinite universe. Once you’ve set your intention, you’re now ready to thrive. . . .

3. You thrive when you’re in balance with your environment. Balance doesn’t mean that all sides are quantitatively equal, but rather that there’s a subtle push-pull . . . an active and passive, internal and external dance creating the potential of energy called thriving. Acknowledging your emotional state in any circumstance sets up this dynamic. Your emotions act as a direct link to reconnect to the power and passion of your authentic nature. Setting an intention as to where you’re going activates the subtle and sometimes spontaneous conditions for total transformation.

To anchor your ‘I am _______’ intention, read it out loud multiple times. Now go outside or look outside at some aspect of the natural world. If you’re living in the city and there’s nothing but an urban jungle around you then look up and observe a blue sky or the formation of clouds. Observe Nature for 30 to 60 seconds as you breathe deeply into your belly. Form the ‘I love you’ sign with one hand and place it over your heart. Now, imagine yourself at one with Nature. Notice how your senses are activated as you observe and begin to process. Pay attention to what you see, hear, smell, taste, feel, and intuitively know as you’re connecting to Nature with intention. Fill your heart with infinite love and gratitude by thinking or saying out loud ‘infinite love and gratitude’ over and over. Continue to view Nature in this way . . . and you will begin to feel a ‘thriving’ shift in your heart from stress to inner peace.

The reconnect, balance and thrive process is a simple and powerful tool to harmonise yourself with any stressful experience. In addition, I enjoy using it to consciously begin and end my day. Have fun as you immediately begin to appreciate the power you possess to thrive.
